As an Airtel user myself, I have been through many old tutorials on the internet that suggest you to use the Wynk Music app for setting caller tunes, but unfortunately, Wynk Music is discontinued now, so you cannot use it anymore.

Recently, Airtel officially shifted caller tune activation from the Wynk Music App to the Airtel Thanks App. In this post, I’ll show how to set caller tune in Airtel step by step, using the Airtel Thanks App. So, let’s get started.

What Are Airtel Caller Tunes (Hello Tunes)?

Airtel Caller Tunes, also known as Hello tunes, replaces the standard “tring tring” sound when someone calls you with music or a song. So whenever someone calls you, they will hear your Hello tune instead of just normal tring tring.

Airtel offers a variety of Hello tunes options that you can choose from. You can choose popular themes, romantic tunes, heartbreak tunes, popular dialogues, and devotional tunes as your Hello tune.

How to Set Caller Tune in Airtel (Working 2025 Method)

Now let’s see how to set caller tune in Airtel. This is the most updated method that you can use to set Hello tunes. I use this method personally, and it is working perfectly fine for me.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Install or Open the Airtel Thanks App

First of all, you need to download and install the Airtel Thanks App from the Play Store/App Store. I have attached the download links given below.

Step 2: Login Using Your Airtel Number

Once it’s installed, open the app and log in with your phone number using OTP verification.

Step 3: Go to “Set Hello Tunes” Section

In the Airtel Thanks App, there are two ways you can go to the Hello tune section:

Either you can scroll down and click on “Set Hellotunes” under the “All Airtel Products” category, or you can simply tap on the Hamburger menu on the top left corner and then click on “Set Hellotunes“.

Step 4: Browse Songs

Once you are inside the Hellotune section, you’ll see a ton of options to choose from, some of which are given below:

• Trending Caller Tunes
• Bollywood
• Regional
• Devotional
• Romantic
• Funny / Dialogue tunes

Step 5: Tap on “Set as Hello Tune”

Once you find a tune you like → Tap on it → You’ll be asked to choose a clip, you can also listen to it by clicking on the play button → Choose the clip you like → Click on “Set as Hellotune“

In the above screenshot, the button says “Get Hellotunes Pack” because I have already used my current month’s free Hellotune. If you are doing it for the first time, you will see the option to “Set as Hellotune“

It might take some time for the change to take effect. You’ll receive an SMS update on your phone number once the caller tune is applied successfully.

How to Change Caller Tune in Airtel

Follow the same steps to change your caller tune, but do keep in mind, you get only one free Hellotune every month. If you want to change your Hello tune within a month, then you will have to purchase the Hello tunes pack, which currently costs ₹19 for a month.

How to Remove Caller Tune in Airtel

Removing your caller tune is also very simple:

1. Open Airtel Thanks App
2. Go to Hello Tunes section
3. You’ll see your current Hellotune, on top, click on “Manage”
4. Under Manager Hellotunes click on your selected hellotune again
5. Tap Remove current HelloTune

Your caller tune will be deactivated, and your number will go back to its normal ringing tone.

Is Caller Tune Free in Airtel?

Yes, Airtel offers free caller tunes for all users with active plans of ₹129 and above. This might change in future. But currently, setting a Hello tune is free as long as you are on an active plan. You do not need to pay anything extra.

However, you can only set one Hello tune in a month. If you want to change your Hello tune within a month, then you will have to purchase the Hello tunes pack, which currently costs ₹19 for a month, allowing you to set unlimited Hello tunes.
