What Is Jio Caller Tune (JioTune)?

Caller tune on Jio is officially known as JioTunes. It replaces the boring “tring-tring” sound with the JioTune. So whenever someone calls you, they will hear the JioTune that you have set. As of now, there are two ways you can set caller tune on your Jio SIM:

1. JioSaavn app
2. MyJio app

Both methods are very simple, and you don’t need any kind of paid subscription. Unlike Airtel, which requires you to be on an active plan, Jio users can set caller tune even if there is no active plan.

I was honestly shocked to see that Jio still offers caller tune for free, and it hasn’t it has started recently, they have been offering free JioTunes ever since Jio entered the telecom industry.

How to Set Caller Tune in Jio Using JioSaavn App

This is one of the methods of setting caller tune on your Jio SIM.

Step 1: Install JioSaavn App

Download the JioSaavn app from the Play Store or App Store link given below:

Step 2: Log in to JioSaavn

After installing, open the app and log in using your Jio number.

Step 3: Tap on JioTunes

Click on JioTunes at the top, and select the song that you want to set as your caller tune. You can also search for your desired song.

Step 4: Preview the Tune

JioSaavn lets you listen to the clip before setting it as JioTune. Once you have found your favourite tune, click on the “Set” button.

Step 5: Confirmation Message

You’ll soon receive a confirmation SMS from Jio, as well as confirmation in the JioSaav app.

How to Set Caller Tune in Jio Using MyJio App

Now let’s see how to set caller tune in Jio using the MyJio app.

Step 1: Install MyJio App

Just like JioSaavn app, you need to install MyJio app from the download link given below:

Step 2: Log in to MyJio App

Once the app is installed, log in to the app with your Jio phone number.

Step 3: Navigate to JioTunes

Tap on the JioTunes icon in the bottom navigation bar.

Step 4: Choose the song of your choice

Now select the song you want to set as your caller tune.

Step 5: Preview the Tune

Just like the JioSaavn app, you can listen to the previews before setting your caller tune. Once you have decided, click on “Set“.

Step 6: Confirmation Message

Once done, you will receive a confirmation message saying your JioTune is set successfully.

How to Change Caller Tune in Jio

If you want to change your caller tune/jiotune, the process is very similar.

Via JioSaavn

• Open the JioSaavn app
• Tap on JioTunes
• Choose the new song
• Listen to the preview
• Click on “Set“

Via MyJio

• Open the MyJio app
• Navigate to the JioTunes section
• Choose the new song
• Listen to the preview
• Click on “Set“

However, do keep in mind that you can only set or change one JioTune in a month. If you want to change more, then you will have to get the paid subscription.

How to Remove Caller Tune in Jio

If you don’t want to keep your JioTune or want to completely deactivate it, follow the steps given below:

• Open MyJio/JioSaavn app
• Go to JioTunes section
• you’ll see your current JioTune on top
• Click on “Deactivate” button

Or you can simply call or send “STOP” to 155223 for deactivating your callertune/jiotune.

Your JioTune will be deactivated soon, and you will also receive confirmation once it is successfully deactivated.
